A local-first personal AI agent for Windows that controls your real PC, asks before anything risky, and never forgets where it left off. Pre-alpha.
Pre-alpha
MythDesk is pre-alpha, building toward v0.1, "It never forgets". This post describes the design and what is in the repository today, not a released product.
MythDesk is a local-first personal AI agent for Windows. Meet Myth: it controls your real PC — apps, files, your logged-in sessions — works in the background, asks before anything risky, and checkpoints every step so a shutdown, crash or reboot never loses progress. You can talk to it from your phone over Telegram.
The project's demo organises a Downloads folder, deliberately crashes partway through, and then resumes and reports when run again. With autostart installed, the same resume happens on its own after a reboot.
On Telegram, send /teach submit homework, do the task on your PC, then press Ctrl+Alt+S (or send /done). Myth drafts a skill from your clicks and typing. Values that change next time become inputs, and passwords are never recorded.
The desktop window has Chat, Tasks, Activity, Skills and Settings, plus a big Stop button (the kill switch) and this month's spend. It is a thin client for the local Myth service.
v0.1, "It never forgets", is the current goal. No release date is announced. Join the waitlist or read the MythDesk docs.
