Community Guidelines
The community is for questions, ideas and feedback on MythBrowse and MythDesk. These guidelines, together with the Terms of Use, are the acceptable use policy for the forum and every other part of the site.
1. The short version
Be kind, stay on topic, no spam. Treat others the way you would in a room full of people building something together.
2. Do
- Search before you post, and pick the category that fits.
- Give enough detail for someone to help: what you tried, what happened, and your OS and version.
- Disagree with ideas, not people. Assume good faith.
- Report posts that break these guidelines instead of replying to them.
3. Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, hate speech or attacks on people for who they are.
- Spam, advertising, referral links, vote manipulation or posting the same thing repeatedly.
- Sexual content, graphic violence, or anything that sexualises minors.
- Sharing someone else's personal information (addresses, phone numbers, private messages, credentials) without their consent.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights; see the copyright process.
- Malware, phishing, exploit code aimed at other people's systems, or instructions for illegal acts.
- Publicly disclosing security vulnerabilities in JustMyth or its products. Report them privately as described on the security page.
- Impersonating JustMyth staff or other people, or creating accounts to evade a ban.
- Using the site in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its operation, or bypasses rate limits, bot protection or other security measures.
4. Reporting
Signed-in members can use Report on any post and give a short reason. Reports go to a private moderation queue that only moderators and admins can see; the person you report is not told who reported them. If you cannot sign in, or the problem is not a single post, email devtmj@apeironlabs.tech.
5. How moderation works
Depending on how serious a problem is and whether it has happened before, moderators and admins may:
- hide a post or thread from public view;
- lock a thread to stop new replies, or pin important threads;
- dismiss a report that does not break these guidelines;
- suspend an account for a period or ban it permanently, which also signs it out everywhere.
New accounts have lower posting limits for their first day to keep spam out. Every moderator and admin action is recorded in an internal audit log so it can be reviewed.
6. Appeals
If you think a moderation decision was wrong, email devtmj@apeironlabs.tech from the address on your account with a link to the content and why you think it should be reviewed. Someone other than the person who made the decision will look at it where possible.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. Posts and your display name are public. You can edit your own posts, and deleting your account erases the content of everything you have posted; see Your data and the Terms of Use.
8. Changes
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
