Copyright & Content Reports
How to ask us to remove content from this website that infringes your copyright or other rights, or that is unlawful, and what happens next.
1. What this covers
Most content on this website is written by JustMyth. The exception is the community forum, where members post their own threads and replies. This process is for content anywhere on the site that you believe infringes your copyright, trademark or other rights, or is otherwise unlawful. For posts that simply break the Community Guidelines, the Report button on the post is faster.
2. Sending a notice
Our designated agent for notices is the operator of JustMyth, reachable at devtmj@apeironlabs.tech. Email with the subject “Content report” and include:
- your name and contact details, and who you act for if you are not the rights holder;
- the work or right you say is infringed (for example, a link to the original);
- the exact URL of each page or post on this website you want removed;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
This follows the format used by notice-and-takedown laws such as section 43H of Malaysia's Copyright Act 1987 and the US DMCA, so a notice prepared for either is welcome. Incomplete notices may slow us down.
3. What we do
- We act on a complete notice within 48 hours of receiving it, usually by hiding the content from public view.
- We tell the person who posted it, where we can, and pass on the substance of the notice.
- We may ask for more information, or decline a notice that is incomplete, unclear or appears abusive.
- Accounts that repeatedly post infringing content are suspended or banned.
4. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use the material, email devtmj@apeironlabs.tech from the address on your account. Include the URL of the removed content, why you believe the removal was wrong, your contact details, and your name as a signature. We may share the counter-notice with the person who sent the original report, and restore the content unless they tell us they are taking further action.
5. Misuse
Do not send notices you know to be false. Misrepresenting that content infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable under applicable law.
